The Continuing Airworthiness Manager is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft meet safety and regulatory standards. Quality Planning & Documentation : Developing and implementing the project Quality Plan(PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) You must also maintain crucial records like Material Inspection Request (MIR) and Inspection Requests (IR) Material Verification: Ensuring all incoming materials match approved submittals and meet quality standards (e.g., checking test certificates for steel or concrete) before they are used in construction. Site Inspections & Witness Testing: Conducting regular field inspections and witnessing laboratory test (such as concrete slump or cube tests) to verify that workmanship meets the required method statements. Non-Conformance Management : Identifying defects or deviations, issuing Non- Conformance Reports (NCRs), and overseeing corrective actions to ensure the issue is resolved permanently. Audit & Compliance: Performing internal quality audits and coordinating with third party inspectors or client consultants to secure approvals for completed work. Reporting: Preparing daily, weekly, monthly quality reports for management to track trends and ensure the project remains on schedule without costly rework.
