Job Summary:An Air Ticketing Executive is responsible for handling flight ticket bookings, cancellations, reissuance, and customer queries at the airport ticketing counter. The role involves providing accurate fare information, assisting passengers with reservations, and ensuring smooth ticketing operations while delivering excellent customer service.Key Responsibilities:Issue, reissue, and cancel domestic and international flight ticketsHandle reservations using airline reservation systems (GDS such as Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre)Provide fare quotations and explain fare rules, baggage policies, and travel guidelinesAssist passengers with seat selection and special service requestsProcess refunds and manage ticket modificationsCoordinate with airline staff and ground operations teamVerify passenger details and travel documentsHandle last-minute bookings and airport ticketing requestsMaintain daily sales reports and transaction recordsResolve customer complaints in a professional mannerRequired Skills:Strong knowledge of airline ticketing proceduresFamiliarity with Global Distribution Systems (GDS)Excellent communication and customer service skillsBasic computer proficiencyAbility to handle cash and digital paymentsProblem-solving and multitasking abilityAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work in rotational shiftsEligibility Criteria:Minimum qualification: 10+2 / Graduation preferredCertification in Aviation / Travel & Tourism is an advantageFreshers can apply (training provided)Prior experience in airline ticketing or travel agency preferredWork Environment:Airport ticketing countersRotational shifts including weekends and holidaysFast-paced customer service environment
