JOB DESCRIPTION Perform the requisite nursing activities for admission, discharge, and transfer of the patient. To render nursing care during physiotherapy, ambulation and rehabilitation of patients as required. Administration of medications (as prescribed), injections, infusions, transfusions, an application of surgical dressing etc. to the patient Render pre-operative, post-operative intensive care to the patients in the area. Observing, recording and reporting of all tests, diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and vital signs e.g. TPR and Blood pressure. She will be responsible for communication with the patients attendants/relatives about the patients clinical conditions in consultation with the treating doctor whenever needed. Carryout technical procedures such as Naso-gastric intubation, gastric savage and lavage, oxygen therapy, surgical dressing and irrigation, Enema, catheterization hot and cold application, suction etc. To ensure proper coordination with other disciplines in case of admission, discharge, transfer, shifting to Cath Lab/OT/Critical Care Area/Wards. Assist doctors in performing medical and emergency procedures. To ensure that the equipment and accessories to be used on patient are checked before usage. To ensure the personal property are handed over to the relative once patient get admitted. To demonstrate skills in patient assessment, doctors round, medication administration, documentation and equipment handling. To ensure that the privacy of patient is maintained during the entire course of treatment, procedure, investigation and during transport. To ensure all the information regarding patient to patient rights, treatment information and patient safety is not compromised for each and every admitted patient.
