NPD/PED - JDQualification: BE (Mechanical Engineering) / DMEExperience: BE minimum 3 Yrs / DME minimum 5 to 6 YrsIndustry background: Fastener manufacturing industriesExpertise: Tools design in Cold Forging and Hot Forging.Experience: Plating shop and machining facilities.Job description and Skill set:1. Candidate should be preferably from a Fastener industry.2. Able to make costing estimate for the given product based on the RFQs Process planning Cycle time estimation Man power planning The investment estimate for the manufacturing facility which includes Equipment, Fixture andtooling, Quality gauges, Material handling etc Space requirement with layout Project time plan3. Knowledgeable & exposed to Machining processes like CNC programming in Turning & Machining centres Design of Cutting tools, Fixtures and familiarity with tooling material and selection Exposure to cleanliness requirement4. Project execution skills like DAP with supplier & approval Facility development & follow-ups Trials at supplier end Commissioning Internal trials coordination with the operating teams Process validation Cycle time establishment with manpower deployment Handing over of the facilities to the production5. Able to prepare documents on Process flow diagram, PFMEA, Control plan, SOP, preparing layout andIATF documents related to Production engineering department.6. Able to make drawings in AutoCAD and 3D modelling (Solid works) with fixture and tooling design.7. Focusing on continual improvements on Productivity, Quality and Cost reduction in the existing line.
