Job Title : MEPF Cost Engineer Responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This includes preparing cost estimates, budgets, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The QS will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities: 1. Cost Estimation and Planning 2. Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. 3. Analyze architectural, HVAC, Electrical and PHEF drawings and specifications to develop accurate project costings. 4. Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities. Cost Control and Management: 1. Monitor project costs to ensure adherence to the budget. 2. Conduct cost analysis and perform risk and value management. 3. Advise on procurement strategy and select the appropriate procurement route. Financial Reporting: 1. Prepare regular financial statements and reports on project performance. 2. Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes. 3. Conduct financial forecasting to predict future project costs. Site Visits and Inspections: 1. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure that work is being carried out to the required standards. 2. Measure and value the work done on-site, including variations and changes. Collaboration and Communication: 1. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders. 2. Attend project meetings and provide financial input and advice. 3. Ensure effective communication and collaboration between all parties involved in the project. Educational Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Electrical, Mechanical, PHEF Engineering, or a related field.
