An X-Ray Field Service Engineer is a specialized technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing X-ray imaging equipment at medical or industrial facilities. They ensure machines operate safely, minimize system downtime, and comply with strict radiation and medical device regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Commissioning: Unpack, assemble, and test new X-ray machines and associated digital imaging (DR/CR) software at client sites.Preventative Maintenance (PM): Conduct scheduled inspections and calibrations to prevent equipment failure and maintain optimal image quality.Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex electromechanical, software, and networking issues, both on-site and via remote diagnostics.Client Support: Train radiology technologists and clinical staff on proper equipment usage and basic care.Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols, health regulations, and quality assurance guidelines.Inventory & Admin: Manage spare parts inventory, log error trends, and complete service reports
