Job descriptionIB TEACHER:The role of the IB Primary Years Teacher is essentially to build and maintain asuccessful Primary Years Programme (PYP) within the school by providing an educationalatmosphere conducive to learning and developing through the process of inquiry.RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, prepare and deliver high quality lessons to suit the individual needs of allstudents in line with the PYP Inspire mixed culture and ability classes, by creating challenging and engaginglearning opportunities for all students Assess and monitor student progress and provide targets so that all learners can seesuccess and improve Collaborate with other teachers to share new ideas, approaches and professionalknowledge Communicate accurately and regularly with parents Liaise with the Head of PrimarySchool and PYP Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum tospecified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in theclassroom Contribute to the extra-curricular activities programme and participate in schoolactivities such as assemblies, evening events, conferences Maintain constantawareness of the needs of any children to whom English is another languageSKILL REQUIREMENTS: IB PYP Trained Demonstrate professionalism, commitment, integrity, strength of character andperseverance Inter-culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills Inspiring trust and confidence in students and colleagues Outgoing and enthusiasticShow a strong work ethic Articulate communicator Committed to ensuring high standards of teachingEMPLOYEE PERKS: Continuous Professional Development Health Benefits Child Education Benefit IndustryEducation Management
