We are seeking a Senior Merchandiser with 7 to 10 years of experience to join our team in Surat. The ideal candidate will have a diploma and will be responsible for driving key merchandising processes and ensuring product alignment with market trends.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Product Development:** Collaborate with design and production teams to create and refine product lines that appeal to target markets.- **Market Analysis:** Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitor strategies to inform merchandising decisions.- **Inventory Management:** Monitor stock levels and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and timely replenishment.- **Sales Coordination:** Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs and provide support on product positioning and pricing strategies.- **Vendor Management:** Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to negotiate prices, quality, and delivery schedules, ensuring product availability.- **Reporting:** Prepare detailed reports on sales performance and market trends to present to management for strategic decision-making.**Required Skills and Expectations:**The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills to assess data and trends effectively. Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating with various teams and stakeholders. A good understanding of merchandising principles and retail operations is a must. Merchandiser Responsibilities:Planning and developing merchandising strategies.Analyzing sales figures, market trends and customer behavior to determine product needs.Stocking sales floor shelves and creating attractive product displays.Determining the need for and implementing product promotions, price changes, mark downs, clear outs, etc.Ensuring retail staff are well informed on product details and promotions.Maintaining and tracking inventory.Liaising between customer and company.

Develop and maintain relationships with international clients and buyers. Understand and manage client requirements, ensuring all export orders meet specified standards. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or any related field. Should have 10+ years of experience in merchandising, with a focus on exports in the garment industry. Strong knowledge of international garment markets and export procedures. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficient in MS Office and relevant merchandising software. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Leadership and team management abilities. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

The main duties of a merchandiser are to fulfil the demand of a garment buyer. At first, take an export order from the buyer. Secondly, to make a time schedule for export those garments as per exporting date. Thirdly, to make sample for the export order from a factory .Good communication Skill ,Knowledge of Costing ,TNA and Fabric .
