In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining machinery and equipment according to specifications. This is a full-time position that requires work from the office.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Assembly of Parts:** You will be required to assemble parts and components of machinery using hand tools and power tools. This includes following blueprints and technical drawings to ensure correct assembly.- **Installation of Equipment:** You will install machinery and equipment at various sites. This involves aligning and securing parts to guarantee they function properly.- **Maintenance and Repairs:** You will perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on machinery to ensure they operate efficiently and prevent breakdowns.- **Quality Control:** You will inspect and test the assembled equipment to ensure it meets safety and quality standards.- **Documentation:** You will maintain records of work completed, including repair logs and installation reports, to ensure compliance with company standards.**Required Skills and Expectations:**Candidates must possess a Diploma in a relevant field. You should have a basic understanding of mechanical concepts and the ability to read technical drawings. Good problem-solving skills are essential, as you will need to troubleshoot issues effectively. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure precision in your work. Bench Work & FittingShaping & Sizing: Performing manual operations like filing, sawing, chipping, and scraping to bring metal parts to exact dimensions.Marking: Using tools like scriber, vernier height gauges, and angle plates to mark guide lines for drilling and cutting according to blueprints.Accuracy: Achieving high precision, often with a tolerance of 0.02 mm to 0.04 mm.2. Assembly & InstallationMechanical Assembly: Fitting together components like gears, pulleys, shafts, and valves using fasteners (rivets, bolts, and screws).Interchangeability: Ensuring parts can be replaced or interchanged across different units without individual custom fitting.Pneumatics & Hydraulics: Identifying and assembling components like compressors, valves, and actuators to build fluid power circuits.3. Maintenance & RepairPreventive Maintenance: Regularly lubricating, cleaning, and overhauling machines (Lathes, Drill Presses, Grinders) to prevent breakdowns.Troubleshooting: Identifying the root cause of mechanical failure, dismantling the unit, and replacing worn-out or defective parts.Testing: Conducting performance tests on completed assemblies to ensure they meet operational standards.
