The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality connections, troubleshoot network issues, and follow safety standards while working in various environments.Key Responsibilities:Splice and terminate fiber optic cables using fusion and mechanical splicing techniques.Read and interpret network plans, blueprints, and cable schematics.Test fiber optic networks using equipment such as OTDRs and power meters.Identify and repair cable faults and connectivity issues.Install, route, and secure fiber optic cables in aerial, underground, and indoor environments.Maintain accurate records of splicing activities, test results, and repairs.Follow company safety procedures and industry standards.Coordinate with technicians, engineers, and project managers to complete assignments on schedule.

The primary functions of the Fiber Technician include: Resolve, repair and install fiber optics systems and ensure that they work properly Fiber cabling routing and replace faulty with new cable Splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber sites and links Documenting and reporting on work completed Take care of fiber splicing and rectify fiber optic problems Ensure that fiber optic system does not destabilize its performance Execute premises cabling and connect to end customer
