Chawlas international , mumbai is looking for freelance female fashion designers having 1) Knowledge and experience of designing exclusive Punjabi Ethnic / Bridal wear / Apparel and Accessories2) Excellent sense of style , color , design and conceptual skills3) Illustration skills required to Create design sketches / by hand and Translate sketches and ideas into computer technical sketches / 3d mockups 4) Managing Design process from conception through to final styling by Creating technical specifications production drawings.5) Specialists in mood board, trend research for creating new concepts.6) Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.7) Coordinate with Master / karigar and production team for production

create or visualise an idea and produce a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD)create moodboards to show to clientskeep up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapesplan and develop ranges, often based on a themework with others in the design team, such as buyers and forecasters, to develop products to meet a briefliaise closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure items suit the customer, market and price pointsunderstand design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designsvisit trade shows and manufacturers to source, select and buy fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishmentsadapt existing designs for mass productiondevelop a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervise the creation of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptationsoversee production.
