A UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) service engineerinstalls, maintains, and repairs UPS systemsand related equipment. Key duties include performing installations and breakdown services,troubleshooting technical issues, conducting routine maintenance, and managingdocumentation. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, excellentproblem-solving skills, and good customer service.Responsibilities Installation and Maintenance:Install, test, and commission UPS systems,batteries, and stabilizers. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance toensure system performance. Troubleshooting and Repair:Respond to emergency breakdown calls to diagnoseand repair faults in UPS systems. Troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs,such as replacing parts like capacitors and batteries. Documentation:Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including repairs,maintenance, and equipment configurations. Customer Support:Provide technical support to customers via phone or in person.Investigate customer complaints to find the root cause of problems and recommendsolutions. Collaboration:Work with other engineers and cross-functional teams to resolvecustomer issues and provide faster resolutions.Requirements Education:A diploma or ITI in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is oftenrequired. Technical Skills:o Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.o Proficiency in technical troubleshooting.o Experience with equipment like UPS, inverters, and stabilizers. Soft Skills:o Excellent communication and customer service skills.o Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
