Core Responsibilities & Duties Category Diploma Civil Trainee (Higher Technical Role)ITI Civil Trainee (Higher Practical Role)Site Supervision & Quality Assist in monitoring construction activities to ensure they align with project plans, drawings, and specifications.Supervise and check the quality of incoming materials (e.g., cement, aggregate, steel) and ensure proper storage.Technical Assistance Perform basic Quantity Take-offs (QTO), cost estimates, and assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ).Assist setting out work on-site using basic surveying instruments (like a level or tape) and ensuring excavation alignment.Drawing & Drafting Assist in preparing and revising AutoCAD Civil Drawings (like site plans, cross-sections, and detail drawings).Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints provided by the site engineer for execution of work.Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed daily progress reports (DPR), labor records, and material consumption reports.Assist in maintaining site registers, logbooks, and checking worker attendance.Safety & Compliance Ensure all work adheres to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines and local building codes.Directly enforce site safety protocols and ensure workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Teamwork & Learning Coordinate with foremen, sub-contractors, and site staff to resolve minor technical issues under supervision.Actively participate in on-the-job training sessions and demonstrate eagerness to learn practical construction methods.
