Key Responsibilities:Customer Service:Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.Assist customers with inquiries, provide product information, and offer assistance with purchases.Transaction Processing:Accurately and efficiently process sales transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment.Ensure that correct change is given and receipts are provided.Cash Handling:Handle cash responsibly, count money accurately, and reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of the shift.Maintain the security of the cash register and follow cash handling procedures.Product Knowledge:Stay informed about products and promotions to effectively assist customers.Provide information on pricing, discounts, and product availability.Maintaining Checkout Area:Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked.Arrange merchandise neatly, and remove expired or damaged items.Upselling and Cross-Selling:Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products to enhance the customer's shopping experience.Promote loyalty programs or special promotions to customers.Adherence to Policies:Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.Follow security and safety protocols to prevent theft and maintain a secure working environment.Handling Customer Concerns:Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.Escalate issues to the supervisor or manager when necessary.Qualifications and Skills:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred.Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing.Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure.
