An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for ensuring that aircraft are safe, airworthy, and ready for flight. They inspect, repair, maintain, and certify aircraft systems in compliance with aviation safety standards. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine inspections before and after flightsDiagnose and troubleshoot aircraft mechanical/electrical issuesRepair and replace faulty components (engines, hydraulics, avionics)Conduct scheduled maintenance checks (A, B, C, D checks)Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentationEnsure compliance with aviation authorities like DGCACertify aircraft as airworthy for operationWork closely with pilots and ground staff Skills RequiredStrong knowledge of aircraft systems & engineering principlesAttention to detail and safety awarenessProblem-solving and troubleshooting skillsTechnical proficiency with tools and diagnostic equipmentTeamwork and communication skills Educational QualificationAME Course approved by DGCAOR Diploma/Degree in Aeronautical EngineeringLicensing is mandatory (Category B1/B2) Work EnvironmentAirports, hangars, maintenance basesShift-based work (including nights & weekends)Physically demanding and safety-critical role Salary (India Approx.)Fresher: 3 - 5 LPAExperienced: 6 - 15+ LPA
