### **Job Summary:**The shadow teacher will work closely with a student requiring additional support to help them integrate successfully into a mainstream classroom environment. They will assist with academic tasks, social interactions, and behavior management, ensuring the childs needs are met while fostering independence and confidence.### **Key Responsibilities:**1. **Individualized Support** - Assist the assigned student with daily classroom activities and assignments.- Modify tasks and learning materials based on the students needs, in coordination with the class teacher.2. **Behavioral Assistance** - Implement strategies to manage the students behavior and emotional needs.- Reinforce positive behavior and encourage the development of social skills.3. **Academic Assistance** - Simplify instructions and provide personalized explanations.- Support the students understanding of concepts and completion of work.4. **Social Interaction Facilitation** - Encourage peer interactions to promote social skills.- Help the student participate in group activities and build relationships with classmates.5. **Progress Monitoring** - Observe and document the students progress, noting areas for improvement.- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to discuss the students development.6. **Collaboration** - Work closely with teachers, special educators, and therapists to ensure consistent support.- Attend meetings with educational staff to adjust and improve support strategies.
