PURPOSE OF THE ROLEThis role is in charge of the assembly line - putting together sheet metal and wired/mesh parts into a finished, powder-coated product, checking it for quality, repairing any defects, packing it, and making it ready for dispatch. The main focus of this role is production output. Quality checking and basic powder coating knowledge are secondary, supporting skills. 4-8 years of hands-on experience running or working on an assembly line in a sheet metal, metal fabrication, or wired product manufacturing unit. Experience with powder-coated product assembly is preferred, but not mandatory.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. ASSEMBLY & PRODUCTION (MAIN FOCUS) Run the daily assembly line - putting together sheet metal, powder-coated parts, and wired/mesh parts into the finished product. Use pneumatic tools to fit fasteners on sheet metal, powder-coated parts. Use clip guns (or similar tools) to assemble wired/mesh parts. Meet daily production targets on the assembly line, shift after shift. Decide the right number of workers needed on the line for the target - not more than needed. Track productivity and efficiency of the line every day, and fix issues that are slowing it down. Look after the fixtures and jigs used on the assembly line - keep them in working order, and flag repair or replacement needs. Suggest automation, fixtures, or process changes that can reduce manpower dependency and increase output.2. QUALITY (SECONDARY FOCUS) Check assembled products for quality defects before they move to packing. Repair or rework defective pieces so only good product is packed and dispatched. Keep an eye on powder coating quality and flag powder coating defects (basic knowledge is enough - this can be trained on the job). Report repeat quality problems so the root cause can be fixed, not just the symptom.3. PACKING & DISPATCH READINESS Pack finished goods correctly and get them staged and ready for dispatch on time.4. MANPOWER & COST Manage and guide assembly line workers - assign work, train them, and hold them accountable for output. Keep manpower cost on the line as low as possible while still hitting production targets. Train workers to handle more than one task, so the line does not depend on any single worker.

As an Assembly Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the assembly process of our products at our facility in Ambattur Industrial Estate. Your main responsibilities will include:- Assemble Components: You will be responsible for assembling various components accurately and efficiently according to technical specifications and guidelines.- Quality Control: Ensure that all assembled products meet quality standards by performing regular inspections and tests to identify any defects or issues.- Troubleshooting: Identify and address assembly-related problems swiftly to maintain production schedules and minimize delays.- Documentation: Maintain clear records of assembly processes, including inventory, parts used, and any issues encountered to help in future improvements.- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and communicate any challenges that arise during the assembly process.To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:- Education: A diploma in engineering or a related field is essential for understanding technical drawings and assembly requirements.- Experience: You should have 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in assembly roles, showcasing your ability to work with various tools and machinery.- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy to ensure high-quality assembly and reduce errors.- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and resolve issues quickly when they arise.- Team Player: Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude to work effectively within a team environment. You must be male and willing to work full-time from the office.

Should have hands-on experience in soldering and desoldering multi-layer PCBs.Proficiency in Testing of Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal and RF/Microwave PCB Assemblies with SMD, BGA, RFSOC Components, used in Defence Equipment RADAR, CommunicationTesting of PCB Assemblies, Sub-Assemblies, Units using Automated Test Equipment (ATE)Troubleshooting of PCB Assemblies using Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Pulse Generators etc. up to the Component levelFamiliarity with Flying Probe Testers (FPT) and In-Circuit Testers is desirableProgramming of Flash and fault diagnosis using Diagnostic tools based on JTAG Tester / ToolsTesting as per Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Testing and generation of Acceptance Test Reports (ATR)Reading Schematics and Technical Drawings: Ability to interpret assembly drawings, procedures, standards, and diagrams.Knowledge of Interface Protocols LAN, RS422, RS485 etc.Knowledge of Quality Standards / Systems
