An air freight executive's responsibilities include:Coordinating with customers: Working with customers and the destination to coordinate shipping instructionsBooking flights: Booking flights with the procurement teamTracking shipments: Tracking and monitoring the status of shipments and informing customersMaintaining relationships: Maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholdersHandling customer inquiries: Handling customer inquiries in a timely and effective mannerEnsuring compliance: Ensuring compliance with customer Standard Operating ProceduresUpdating data: Ensuring all data is updated correctly in the systemInterfacing with multiple parties: Interfacing with multiple parties, including customers, warehouses, carriers, and customs, on shipment requirementsWorking with the billing team: Working with the billing team to close off jobs and issue invoicesResolving issues: Taking the lead in issue resolutionsImplementing improvements: Implementing improvements to enhance service capability within the teamAir freight, also known as air cargo, is the shipment of goods through an air carrier.
