Job Summary:An Air Cargo Executive is responsible for handling, coordinating, and managing air freight operations at airports or cargo terminals. The role involves booking shipments, preparing documentation, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, coordinating with airlines and customs authorities, and ensuring safe and timely delivery of cargo.Key Responsibilities1. Cargo Booking & DocumentationProcess cargo bookings for domestic and international shipments.Prepare Air Way Bills (AWB), invoices, shipping bills, and other cargo documents.Verify cargo details including weight, dimensions, and classification.Ensure accurate data entry in cargo management systems.2. Cargo Handling & OperationsSupervise loading and unloading of cargo.Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and handling of goods.Coordinate with warehouse staff and ground handling teams.Monitor shipment movement and update customers on status.3. Customs & Regulatory ComplianceCoordinate with customs officials for clearance procedures.Ensure compliance with DGCA, IATA, and airline cargo regulations.Handle documentation for import/export shipments.Follow safety guidelines for dangerous goods and special cargo.4. Customer ServiceCommunicate with clients regarding booking, shipment status, and delays.Resolve cargo-related queries and complaints.Provide freight rate information and shipping options.5. Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and transport agencies.Maintain cargo records and prepare daily/weekly reports.Track performance metrics such as shipment timelines and damages.Required SkillsKnowledge of air cargo procedures and documentation.Basic understanding of import/export regulations.Computer proficiency (MS Office, cargo software).Good communication and customer service skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Educational QualificationGraduation in any discipline (preferred: Logistics, Aviation, or Commerce).Diploma/Certificate in Air Cargo Management or Aviation (advantage).Knowledge of cargo software systems is a plus.Experience RequirementsFreshers can apply for entry-level roles.13 years experience in cargo, logistics, or freight forwarding preferred.Experience in airport cargo operations is an advantage.Work EnvironmentAirport cargo terminals and warehouses.Rotational shifts including nights and weekends.Fast-paced operational environment.

Cargo Operations & CoordinationOversee daily import and export cargo operations at the airport or cargo terminal.Coordinate with warehouse, ramp, and ground handling teams for cargo acceptance, build-up, and dispatch.Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of cargo, including special, valuable, fragile, or perishable shipments.Track shipments and ensure timely loading and offloading from flights.2. Documentation & Regulatory CompliancePrepare, verify, and process Air Waybills (AWB), HAWB, MAWB, invoices, and shipping documents.Ensure compliance with IATA, airline, and country-specific cargo regulations.Handle Dangerous Goods (DG) documentation and acceptance (as per certification).Coordinate with customs agents and ensure adherence to customs clearance procedures.3.
