OverviewThe Aircraft Maintenance Department is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness, safety, and operational reliability of an airlines fleet. The department performs routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems and components in compliance with aviation regulations and manufacturer guidelines. The team ensures that aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards, supporting on-time flight operations.Key Responsibilities Maintenance & RepairsPerform scheduled (line and base) maintenance, inspections, and preventive checks.Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and avionics systems.Repair or replace defective aircraft components in accordance with manufacturer manuals.Conduct engine checks, landing gear maintenance, and structural inspections.Maintain aircraft interiors, including seating, cabin systems, and emergency equipment. Documentation & ComplianceMaintain detailed records of maintenance activities, defects, and repairs.Ensure compliance with aviation regulations (DGCA, FAA, EASA, etc.) and airline SOPs.Prepare reports for regulatory audits and inspections.Ensure proper documentation of part replacements and maintenance logs. Safety & Quality AssuranceMonitor aircraft systems for potential issues and perform proactive maintenance.Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations.Participate in safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.Report hazards, non-conformances, or technical issues promptly. Team CoordinationCoordinate with flight operations, ground staff, and technical control teams.Assist engineers and technicians during troubleshooting or major repairs.Support training and mentoring of junior maintenance staff.
