35 years ago a spirited lady from Mumbai underwent a life changing experience when she saw some children huddled together shivering and clinging to each other for comfort and warmth at a traffic signal in the heavy July rain in Mumbai. Their vulnerability moved her heart immeasurably and went on to inspire the foundation of VIPLA.

Our Founder Mrs. Vipula Kadri, fondly known to her friends as Vipla, found instant support in her loved ones and began her journey into the world of social development.
