main duty is to run and monitor the machines that perform various tasks, such as cutting, drilling, milling, shaping, or polishing materials. They also have to adjust the settings, speed, and feed of the machines, as well as change the tools and parts when needed. A mill operator is responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of the products, and fixing any defects or errors. They also have to follow safety rules and regulations, and wear protective equipment and clothing. A mill operator may work with different types of machines, such as CNC (computer numerical control), lathe, grinder, or saw.
