We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant/Bookkeeper to oversee our financial audits and ensure compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). This is a full-time, remote position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial oversight of a growing tech company while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.*Key Responsibilities:- Day-to-Day Accounting: Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.- Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, receipts, and documentation for all transactions.- Budget Support: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.- Compliance Assurance: Ensure financial practices comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.- Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to accounting workflows, tools, and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.- Tax Support: Assist with preparation and organization of financial data for tax filings and work with external tax professionals as needed.- Software Management: Use financial software such as QuickBooks Online to manage company accounts and generate reports.- Internal Controls: Help implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies.*Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant, with a strong grasp of accounting principles and US GAAP.- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, and strong Excel skills.- High attention to detail with excellent accuracy in record-keeping and reconciliation tasks.- Effective organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
