Candidate must have, including verification of vulnerability likelihood/impact on server based on the servers deployment and software configuration I.e. Consider a vulnerability is found in a library on the system and the vulnerability only applies to webserver applications serving TLS traffic. If the server doesn't host a webserver using that library the associated likelihood is zero (no way of exploitation). The candidate must be able to understand this context for thorough vulnerability triaging. Candidate has an understanding of infrastructure architectures and is capable of:i.e. Consider a local vulnerability on a Linux system that is almost never accessed by anyone, has no provisioned users, and isn't publicly accessible. Understanding the server context allows us to reduce the likelihood of vulnerability to very low, which greatly reduces risk of exploitation. Candidate must be highly process oriented and be capable of consistently applying process to a large quantity of action items Candidate must have experience managing vulnerabilities using Tenable (Nessus), Rapid7, or similar OS vulnerability scanning services Candidate must be capable of continuous management of many, small tasks that may require continuous follow-up with dependent stakeholders.
