The Junior Accountant will assist in maintaining financial records, performing bookkeeping tasks, and supporting various financial activities within the organization. This is an entry-level position that offers an opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting.Responsibilities:Financial Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.Record daily financial transactions in appropriate journals and ledgers.Verify and reconcile balances to ensure accuracy.Bookkeeping and Data Entry:Input financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets.Organize and maintain financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, and expense reports.Assist in preparing and processing employee payroll.Financial Analysis Support:Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports.Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities.Help identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement.Tax Compliance:Assist with tax-related activities, such as preparing tax returns and calculating tax liabilities.Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.Assist in gathering documentation for audits or reviews.Audit Assistance:Collaborate with auditors during internal or external audits.Provide necessary financial information and supporting documentation.Help ensure compliance with audit requirements.Financial Administration:Process invoices, issue payments, and manage expense reimbursements.Assist in budget preparation and tracking.Maintain fixed asset records.Compliance and Controls:Follow established internal controls and accounting policies.Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
