In the summer of 1978, visitors to the Coimbatore hardware and sanitary market noticed cute little boxes, embossed with the words Manufactured in India by Sharp. With it, began an era of marketing branded Monobloc Water Pumps in India. Leading, in 1986, to the formation of Sharp Pumps Private Limited.
