- Set up and operate VMC machines: As a VMC setter, your primary responsibility will be to set up and operate vertical machining center (VMC) machines according to job requirements and specifications.- Monitor machine operations: You will be required to closely monitor the machine operations to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently, making any necessary adjustments as needed.- Quality control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making any necessary adjustments to the machine settings if required.- Tooling and material handling: Handle tooling and materials required for the job, ensuring they are properly set up and in place for efficient machine operation.- Maintenance and troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance on the machines and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the production process.- Follow safety procedures: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.Required Skills and Expectations:- 1-3 years of experience operating VMC machines is required for this position.- A diploma in a relevant field is necessary for this role.- Strong technical skills and knowledge of VMC setting processes.- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time.- Good communication skills to liaise with team members and supervisors effectively.
