Solar Equipment WholesalerJob Summary:The Solar Equipment Wholesaler is responsible for selling solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and other solar equipment .They sell these products to solar installers, contractors, and distributors. The role involves negotiating prices, managing inventory levels, processing orders, and providing product support.Key Responsibilities:- Source solar equipment products from reliable manufacturers and suppliers at competitive prices- Negotiate bulk purchase pricing and volume discounts with vendors- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and seek out new vendor partners - Determine appropriate inventory levels for various products based on sales forecasts- Accurately price products to achieve target profit margins for the business- Process customer orders efficiently and coordinate delivery logistics - Provide product training, technical support and troubleshoot issues for customers- Stay up-to-date on new solar technologies, products, regulatory changes and market trends- Prepare sales reports and analysis to guide purchasing and inventory decisionsQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field- 2+ years of wholesale/distribution experience, preferably in solar or electrical equipment - Strong skills in supplier relationship management, negotiation and vendor management- Solid understanding of solar PV technology, components and installation requirements- Experience with inventory management and forecasting - Excellent communication and customer service skills- Proficiency with CRM software, ERP systems and MS Office suiteThis role combines technical solar product knowledge with purchasing, inventory planning, and customer service responsibilities key to running a wholesale distribution business in the solar industry.
