The Junior Site Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring smooth coordination among different departments, including electrical, plumbing, and finishing contractors, to avoid delays and maintain workflow continuity. They support senior engineers in client, consultant, and vendor inspections by preparing the site, ensuring work readiness, and promptly addressing compliance requirements. The engineer must also monitor subcontractor performance, track labour productivity, and assist in preparing weekly and monthly progress reports. Effective communication with the project team is essential for updating work status, identifying challenges, and suggesting solutions to improve overall site execution. Additionally, the engineer must ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, encourage PPE usage, and help maintain site housekeeping standards. They are also responsible for reporting technical issues, coordinating for timely material delivery, and supporting overall project planning and scheduling under the guidance of the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
