JOB PURPOSE:Promoting safety achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.Develop, implement and maintain EHS plan to bring the Companys Safety Systems and Policies into compliance with system requirements.KEY RESULT AREAS:Maintain compliance with all safety regulationsPractice safe working techniques.Implement and maintain health and safety standards.Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques.Standardize health and safety in order to remain consistent.Identify hazardous waste and disposing of it correctly in the workshopPrepare Risk assessment and SMOW(safe method of work)Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measuresCompile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance.Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management.Regularly inspect equipment and PPE.Regular inspect the work and activities.Prepare and conduct Safety bulletin/ tool box talkStop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthyRecord and investigate incidents to determine causes and applying preventive measures.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Bachelors degree in Safety or NEBOSH DIPLOMA3 years prior experience in EHS department.Registration as a Health and Safety Officer.Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Knowledge of quality & EHS standards.Experience in EHS system audits.Demonstrates a passion and a responsibility for consumer.Willingness to travel when required.KEY COMPETENCIES:Knowledge of following standardISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007 HSE SystemISO 9001 : 2015 - Quality Management System.NEBOSH
