Job SummaryOur company is looking for an experienced person to fill the role of Health and Safety Officer who will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the safety, health and environment policies and systems. Provide guidance on safety, health and environmental issues on various projects.Job Responsibilities:Ensuring that all safety policies are in place and adhered to by workersPromote a positive health and safety culture throughout the company and promoting best practice.Conducting training lessons for employees on how to maintain safety whiles on siteWorking with others to reduce the risk of accidents at the workplaceInspecting all machines and other equipment to confirm they are in good shape before construction beginsSeeing to it that all workers and visitors receive safety induction training prior to entering the site and are in safety gears whiles on siteVisiting construction site to assess working conditions on regular basisRecord findings, highlighting any areas for improvement as well as any required modification.Agree on remedial action with site management on any non-conformance and carry out follow up review to ensure the appropriate implementation has taken place.Ensure full implementation of the companys accident reporting procedureContinually develop knowledge of health and safety to enhance the businessREQUIREMENTSA Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health or any disciplineProven experience in safety and hazards worksKey competenciesShould have knowledge of all safety policiesShould possess good communication and listening skillsMust be goal-oriented and possess quality leadership skillsShould be able to give training lessons out to all workersShould possess knowledge of renovating and organizing to fit a given projectMicrosoft office suiteEducation: Bachelors Degree
