Sales Officers have the following duties and responsibilities:Identify potential clients and develop strategies to connect and establish relationships with themPromote and sell the companys products or services, using knowledge of the product or service to demonstrate benefits to potential customersPrepare and deliver sales presentations to a range of prospective clientsNegotiate sales contracts and sales agreements to finalize salesMeet and exceed sales targets set by the companyMonitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etcPrepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing informationMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesProvide excellent customer service, addressing and resolving customer complaints and queriesManage client accounts, ensuring payments are made and liaising with the finance department as necessary
