Key Responsibilities:Cargo Handling: Safe and secure loading and unloading of various cargo types, including containers, flat racks, and curtainsiders.Equipment Operation: Operate lifting equipment such as forklifts for devanning and reloading containers and trailers.Data Recording: Accurately record key milestones during loading or unloading, including taking photos when applicable.Health and Safety: Report and adhere to safe working practices.Yard Duties: Perform other yard duties as required.Additional Responsibilities:Data Input: Provide accurate information to the admin team for system updating.Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers.Team Support: Assist colleagues within the transport team as needed.Problem Solving: Identify and resolve transport-related issues efficiently.Cost Control: Monitor transport costs and seek opportunities for cost reduction.Performance Management: Track KPIs and implement process improvements.Compliance: Ensure adherence to transport regulations and industry standards.Customer Satisfaction: Proactively address customer needs and exceed expectations.Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements within the transport department.Essential Criteria:Minimum of 6 months training in rigging, cargo lashing, port-based operations, or handling out-gauge cargo.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Problem Solving: Proven ability to problem-solve and find solutions under pressure.Organisational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail.Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Desirable Criteria:Qualifications: Forklift qualificationsFlexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours when requiredBenefits:Competitive Salary: We value your skills and commitment.Discretionary Bonus: Because your hard work deserves to be rewarded.

For our bakery.Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, gift-wrapping packages and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions.
