The tasks and duties of the Plant QA/QC Inspector includes (but notlimited) to the following: Prepare QA/QC documents (Quality plan, Inspection & Test plan,QA/QC procedure, WPS, Welder qualification record, OperatingProcedures, Method Statements etc.) related to modification,repair or maintenance project works. Prepare QA/QC documents required for Shutdown planning, reviewwork packs from shutdown team, identify and perform criticalmaterial inspections prior to shut down, perform inspections andprovide support during shutdown execution, including for discoveryrepair works on equipment and piping. Perform and ensure stage-wise inspections forrepair/modification/replacement jobs undertaken in the plant,including material inspection, PMI, witness of pressure tests,provide inputs for Risk Screening, Formal Risk Assessments,evaluate deviations request for hydrotest waivers, etc. Perform valve inspection, review MTC and requirements withrespect to asset specification, witness valve testing at Workshop orContractors shop and prepare Valve Test Reports. Review Contractor QA/QC documentation related to job/ projectperformed for maintenance. Perform inspection at site, warehouse and at the CONTRACTORpremises on purchased or rented received material or equipmentsuch as valves, piping, gaskets, fittings, heat exchangers, pressurevessels, lifting equipment, gas cylinders, etc., to check conformitywith purchase orders and specifications requirement. Co-ordinate for required NDT, call off RT crew, review NDT reports,interpret RT films, review PWHT charts & records, Prepare QA/QC reports for the jobs performed with details/picturesand maintain proper records/logs. Should be conversant with Meridium (for QA/QC reportpreparation), and SAP (for material and Work order details). Interpret applicable material standards, specification, technicaldata sheets, project specifications, and P.O. requirements etc. toevaluate the acceptance of

tasks and duties of the Plant QA/QC Engineer includes (but not limited) tothe following: He shall undertake evaluation, calculation to provide competenttechnical reviews, audits and advise for any matter pertaining toQA/QC inspection activities Reviews Purchase Requisitions (PR) initiated by End Users for thepressure retaining equipment, parts and spares. The PR is to bechecked for correctness of PR description, completeness of PR withreference to the drawings, specifications & codes as applicable. Evaluates technical bids for the pressure retaining equipment andallied activities and provide comments/report as applicable. Prepares and maintain a systematic record of review comments onPRs and Technical Bid Evaluations, for proper documentation and easyretrieval. Provides assistance for QA/QC matters related to procurement ofmaterials and equipment. Prepares Inspection Report (when required), and communicate anyissues related to the reports. Knowledge of general computerprograms of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook etc. is a must for day to day working. Working knowledge of SAP as enduser is preferred. Job may also involve Internet surfing to gather anyrequired technical information. Maintains confidentiality of job related to data and documents as perthe requirements & procedures of the COMPANY. Reviews and comment on vendors QA/QC documentation related tomaterials, equipment, fabrication. Assists in the preparation of Scope of Work, Contracts and PurchaseOrders from Quality/Certification and final documentationstandpoints. Conducts evaluation of Contractor and Subcontractor and providerecommendation. Reviews and comment on the Contractors documents (Quality plan,Inspection & Test plan, QA/QC procedure, WPS, Welder qualificationrecord, Operating Procedures, Method Statements etc.) related tomodification, repair or maintenance projects.
