Highland Agro Foods Pvt.Ltd a Company incorporated under Company Act 2013, promoted by a young entrepreneur, Mr. Pratik Jena, and family, was established in the year 2022 with an aim to set up a world class shrimp processing unit at Balasore with state of art design and facilities. The firm also gets a sanction of subsidy of Rs.10 crore from the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MPFPI), Govt. of India, under the scheme for integrated cold chain and value addition infrastructure. The plant is commissioned commence its full-fledged production from November 2021, with a capacity of 80MT of daily production and achieved an export sales turnover of Rs. 161Cr as of March 2022.
