About Handimachal Therapy Centre


The Handimachal Therapy Centre is a small voluntary therapy clinic for disabled children, opened in Kullu in 2009. We work with children with fine and gross motor challenges, communication disorders, language delays, emotional disorders, sensory integration issues, autism spectrum disorders, feeding disorders. We believe collaboration across disciplines helps reveal the optimal care plan for the children we serve. We also focus on educating families, as they play a crucial role in their childs development and specific challenges. performing controlled therapy sessions with individuals, groups and/or families; should be able to use sign language, alternative and augmentative communication methods and picture exchange communication system in therapy program; collaborating with other staff members (occupational therapist and special educator in particular), family members or caretakers in the setting of treatment; introducing and supporting new ways of working with families to prevent future speech and language difficulties; delivering training to parents and teachers, allowing them to help in the childs development; teaching exercises to help eliminate speech problems; referring patients to other specialis
