As a Fabrication Fitter, you will play a vital role in assembling metal structures and components. You will work in a team to ensure quality fabrication and assembly of products according to specifications.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Reading Blueprints**: Understand and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication. You will need to follow specific guidelines to create components that meet design requirements.- **Cutting and Shaping Materials**: Use hand tools and power tools to cut and shape metal pieces. This involves precise measurements to ensure proper fitting of components during assembly.- **Welding and Joining**: Perform welding and joining of metal parts using various techniques. This requires skill and attention to detail to ensure the integrity of the assembled structure.- **Quality Control**: Inspect finished products for quality and precision. You will check measurements and look for defects to ensure all products meet safety and quality standards.- **Maintaining Equipment**: Keep tools and equipment in good working condition. Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential to ensure efficient operations.**Required Skills and Expectations:**- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in fabrication or a related field is required.- Candidates must have completed at least the 10th grade.- Good knowledge of welding techniques and tools is essential.- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly is important.- You should possess strong attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.- Candidates must be physically able to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials.
