Design Destination is searching diligently for a skilled junior architect/designer. We are in need of an ambitious and hard-working architect who is passionate about furthering their career. As a junior architect, you will be assisting in Residential and Commercial Designing Work and many other things to be able to learn and grow with senior architects. It is important that you have strong organizational skills, analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills, mathematical skills, and excellent technical skills. This will be a very rewarding and valuable position to jump-start your career in architecture and design. If you are excited about a career in architecture and are willing to work hard for success, then we may be a perfect fit!Typical duties and responsibilitiesWork with architects assisting with various projectsHelp to plan and design buildingsWork on design drawingsAssist in reviewing project proposals and specsHelp with compiling required paperwork and documents for projectsHelp coordinate details of architectural projectsEducation and experienceThis position requires a bachelors degree in architecture, ideally with an internship or previous experience.Required skills and qualificationsProficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and related softwareExperience producing construction documentsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skillsDesign and problem-solving skills as well as an appreciation of, and sensitivity to, architectural design intentAbility to work with minimal supervisionExpertise in Microsoft Office SuitePreferred qualificationsMasters degree in architecture 3+ years of experienceCertifications applicable to this position
