An academic counsellor, also known as an academic advisor or education counsellor, provides guidance and support to students on their academic journey and career paths. They help students with course selection, navigating university policies, and preparing for future careers. In essence, they are facilitators in the learning process, assisting students with registration, financial aid, and other administrative matters. Research and Information Gathering: Ability to research and gather information on courses, programs, and career options. Organisation and Time Management: Maintaining a well-organised office and effectively managing time.

Assisting and advising customers who may be choosing from a variety of travel options.Making reservations for customers based on their various requirements and budgetary allowances.Checking the availability of accommodation or transportation on the customers desired travel dates.Helping plan travel itineraries by suggesting local tourist attractions and places of interest.Processing payments and sending confirmation details to customers.Sorting out any issues that may arise with bookings or reservations.Selling and promoting reservation services.Answering any questions customers might have about the reservation process.Up-selling, when appropriate, by informing customers of additional services or special packages, such as tour tickets, travel insurance, or upgraded seats/accommodations.Providing support to customers who may need to amend or cancel a reservation.

An airline customer service agent works in an airport or a call center, providing information and assistance to the flying public. In a call center, an airline customer service agent helps customers with flight reservations, itinerary changes, baggage concerns and questions about customer loyalty programs. Face-to-face interaction occurs at airports. At a front counter, an airline customer service agent assists passengers with check-in, issues tickets, provides flight information, checks baggage and solves ticket-related travel problems. At the gate, airline customer service agents check boarding passes, upgrade seats and reissue tickets when a flight is overbooked. A workday may be routine or very stressful. That employee is usually an airline customer service agent. Uncontrollable circumstances may leave a service agent without a remedy to a problem. Remaining calm under pressure and maintaining a smile is a critical duty of this job.
