We are looking for an experienced Indian Chef to join our team in Darjeeling. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for Indian cuisine and the ability to create authentic dishes that delight our customers.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Preparation of Indian Dishes:** You will be responsible for preparing a variety of Indian dishes using traditional recipes, ensuring a high level of taste and presentation.- **Menu Development:** Collaborate with management to create seasonal menus that reflect regional flavors and incorporate customer feedback.- **Food Safety Standards:** Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen by following proper handling, storage, and cooking practices.- **Supervision of Kitchen Staff:** Oversee and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service, promoting teamwork and collaboration.- **Inventory Management:** Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and maintaining stock of ingredients, to ensure prompt service without shortages.**Required Skills and Expectations:**- **Culinary Skills:** Must have strong cooking skills, specifically in Indian cuisine, with at least 1-6 years of experience in a professional kitchen.- **Creativity:** Ability to innovate and experiment with flavors while maintaining the authenticity of traditional dishes.- **Attention to Detail:** Ensure high-quality food presentation and taste by paying attention to details in preparation.- **Team Player:** Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.- **Flexibility:** Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required in a busy kitchen environment.
