Responsibilities Work with front-end developers and provide server-side algorithms of user-facing web application elements. Optimize the application for increasing response time and efficiency. Develop and manage APIs that are executed across the devices. Maintain a stable server with zero downtime. Work and collaborate with the rest of the development team Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions. Develop a flexible and well-structured back-end architecture, along with the APIs to support it. Test backend apis. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade backend apis. Write technical documentation. Work with Tech Lead to improve software.Requirements Proven experience as a Backend Developer. Experience developing APIs and handling application databases and web servers. Knowledge of multiple back-end languages like Java (vertx), Python. Familiarity with Shell scripting is a plus. Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Redux, Node.js). Familiarity with databases (e.g. PSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Nginx). Knowledge of RESTful web services. Experience with Maven, GIT. Strong understanding in Relational database concepts. Strong knowledge of SQL. Experience working in a Linux environment and open source libraries. Agile/lean software development techniques and supporting tools like JIRA. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Organizational skills. An analytical mind.
