JOB SCOPE:To plan, design and review new housing, redevelopment, institutional projects.To provide innovative solutions for housing and built environment improvement.To establish best practice in planning and designing of housing and habitat planning projects.To cater to needs of housing of the user group with respect to organisations best practice.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Responsible and accountable for ensuring AKDN values and quality of life standards in all housing and habitat planning projects.2. Responsible for housing & institutional design for new and redevelopment projects.3. Responsible for review of architectural layouts of the projects under review.4. Responsible for incorporating the AKDN Green Building guidelines in new construction and existing project undergoing major repairs. 5. Responsible for guiding field teams, supervising and implementation of pilot projects under habitat improvement. 6. Research and recommend alternative technologies for construction, waste management and energy efficiency to ensure sustainability and low emission in construction and operations of buildings. 7. Shall support project management by ensuring time efficiency and quality control in all designs deliverables of the projects.8. Provide design support to development programme team if required. 9. Participate in cross functional departmental exercise.10. Liaise with various agencies, community members and consultants as needed. 11. Ensure that communitys need and preferences are adequately included in design alternatives.12. Responsible for providing support for research across all projects related to Housing and institutions 13. Responsible for process and good practices documentation.14. Responsible for efficient team management and timely delivery of projects undertaken.15. Responsible for contributing to organisational development needs16. Responsible for organisational commitments.17. Support Preparation of yearly budgets and new proposals

1. Assist senior architects in developing architectural designs, concepts, and drawings.2. Collaborate with the design team to create innovative and functional architectural solutions.3. Conduct research and gather relevant information to support the design process.4. Prepare architectural drawings, 3D models, renderings, and presentations using software tools such as AutoCAD, photoshop, SketchUp, or similar programs.5. Assist in the production of construction documents, including detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.6. Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure construction compliance with design specifications.7. Assist in the coordination and communication with clients, contractors, and consultants to address design requirements and project deliverables.8. Stay updated with industry trends, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance in architectural designs.9. Contribute to team meetings, design reviews, and brainstorming sessions to share ideas and provide valuable input.10. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the smooth operation of the architectural team.

JOB SCOPE: To provide technical supervision during construction of water and sanitation interventions to achieve quality construction.Roles1. To provide technical supervision during construction of water and sanitation interventions planned under EHIP program.2. To provide technical support or training to engineering team operating in Project villages.3. To provide support to Project Office with any task assigned.ResponsibilitiesProject / Program Activities1. To travel to various project sites as and when required either by available public transport or company / personal vehicle (as per travel and vehicle usage policy).2. To carry out site supervision as per instructions and ensure implementation of quality parameters.3. To liaise with Promoters / Core Community Institutions including for implementing Project activities.4. To assist Promoters / Core Community Institution in procurement of construction material required for construction of sanitation units including repairs.5. To prepare and/or review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) including repairs.6. To support Project Office in assessing quality parameters of construction activities including repairs.7. To deliver Technical Session in the Community Mobilisation activities as and when required.8. To carry out or support any Technical Survey as per instructions.9. To support design team at Corporate office Mumbai with data required for Architectural / Structural Planning including repairs.10. To report fortnightly progress for each site to Reporting Manager.Administration11. To maintain and file all relevant documents pertaining to project activities.12. To maintain / update vehicle (either personal or company) logbook.13. To obtain and submit proper bills / receipt / voucher while incurring any expenditure related to Project.
