Job Description

Welding:

Utilizing various arc welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW) to join metal parts according to specifications, blueprints, and instructions.

Material Preparation:

Cutting, shaping, and preparing metal components for welding, ensuring proper fit and dimensions.

Equipment Operation:

Setting up and operating welding equipment, including torches, power sources, and related tools.

Blueprint Reading:

Interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications to guide the welding process.

Quality Control:

Inspecting and testing welds for defects, ensuring they meet required standards and specifications.

Safety Compliance:

Adhering to safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe work environment.

Maintenance:

Performing routine maintenance on welding equipment and ensuring it is in good working order.

Collaboration:

Working with other team members, such as fabricators, fitters, and supervisors, to complete projects efficiently.
