responsibilities:

machine setup: set up vmc machines, including loading and unloading workpieces, installing and adjusting tooling and fixtures according to job requirements and safety protocols.

blueprint reading: interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to understand machining requirements, dimensions, and tolerances.

machine operation: operate vmc machines to perform machining operations such as milling, drilling, tapping, and boring, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

program loading and editing (basic): load pre-written cnc programs (g-code) into the machine controller and make minor edits or adjustments as necessary under supervision.

quality control: inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.

machine maintenance: perform routine maintenance tasks on vmc machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and checking for any malfunctions. report any significant issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.

process monitoring: monitor machine operations, speeds, and feeds to ensure optimal performance and identify any potential problems. make necessary adjustments within defined parameters.

tool management: handle and maintain cutting tools properly, ensuring they are in good condition and reporting any wear or damage.

safety compliance: adhere strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials. wear appropriate personal protective equipment (ppe) at all times.

documentation: maintain accurate production logs, including cycle times, quantities produced, and any issues encountered.

communication (local emphasis): communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other team members in marathi and hindi regarding production status, quality issues, and machine-related concerns.

housekeeping: maintain a clean and organized work area around the vmc machine.
