competition & currency is a video production company that helps businesses improve their marketing and communications with video. we are currently looking for a video editor with a knack for storytelling and sophisticated editing skills to join our team to help us with overflow editing and post -production work on a project-by-project basis.

location - fully remote/off-site

video style – cinematic, street and hip-hop.

your role:

• collaborating with the senior video producer to understand the purpose and objectives of the video piece.

• reviewing the script to ensure that the story is being told in the most effective way for the style of video they are editing.

• editing or rearranging the script in partnership with the stakeholder.

• excellent editing skills with an eye of good storytelling.

• understanding of how brand guidelines translate to video and ensuring that the guidelines are followed.

• reviewing existing video concepts to see how topics were approached and edited in past.

• working independently with input from the sr. producer once you are onboarded and advised on project specifications.

skills and experience:

• 2+ years of experience as a video editor or similar title.

• exceptional storytelling skills - you know how to consult with a client to achieve the best result.

• proven ability to follow brand guidelines accurately.

• you need to have a strong internet connection.
