overview:

we are seeking a highly skilled video editor to join our team. the video editor will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for broadcasting. the ideal candidate should be able to bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive and compelling story.

key responsibilities:

- reviewing raw material to determine the shot list

- trimming footage segments and putting together the sequence of the film

- inputting sound and audio files and reviewing and adjusting the levels of the sound to ensure the best quality

- manipulating the video to achieve a desired outcome

- rearranging and modifying footage to create a seamless final product

- selecting the appropriate video effects and transitions to enhance the video

- creating and inserting static and motion graphics

- collaborating with the creative team to ensure the video meets project requirements

- continuously discovering and implementing new editing technologies and industry's best practices

requirements:

- bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field is preferred

- minimum of 2 years of experience in video editing, preferably in a professional setting.

- proficient in video editing software such as adobe premiere, final cut pro, or avid media composer

- experience in motion graphics and animation software such as after effects or cinema 4d is a plus

- excellent teamwork skills

- ability to work under tight deadlines

- strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

- ability to take constructive feedback and work collaboratively with the team
