job responsibilities:
• perform all levels of maintenance on ups, on single phase ups', 3 phase ups’ and other power systems equipment including, but not limited to inspection pm’s, battery tests and replacements, load banks, capacitor and fan replacements.
• troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• prepare service reports and other custom checklists in the course of repair, maintenance, recondition and troubleshooting of power systems equipment.
• liaise with project management to carry out site inspections, commissioning and testing of project jobs.
• provide technical support and assistance to clients and conduct installation and breakdown work.
• interpretation of technical documentation including schematics
• performance of electrical equipment maintenance routines and battery system maintenance.
• electrical equipment troubleshooting, primarily ups.
• 3 or more years’ experience in maintenance of ups system.
• must be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics and specifications.
• prepare service reports and other custom checklists in the course of repair, maintenance, recondition and troubleshooting of power systems equipment.
minimum qualifications:
• certification or degree in recognized electronics / electricity based curriculum
• familiarity with use of electrical test equipment (eg) dvm, oscilloscopes, load banks, etc.
• fundamental understanding of ac/dc theory
• basic computer literacy and must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in english.
