The Unit Head for the Rolled Steel Bars Manufacturing Plant is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the plant, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality rolled steel bars while meeting safety, quality, and production targets. This position combines technical expertise, leadership, and strategic management to drive the unit's success.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

Supervise and coordinate all manufacturing activities in the rolled steel bars plant.

Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and meeting production targets.

Monitor production processes to maintain product quality and consistency.

Identify and address operational bottlenecks and process improvements.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that the production process adheres to quality standards and specifications.

Implement quality control measures to minimize defects and deviations.

Initiate corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.

Safety and Compliance:

Promote a culture of safety, ensuring that all safety regulations and standards are adhered to.

Conduct safety training, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Oversee compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

Resource Management:

Manage and allocate human and material resources effectively to optimize production efficiency.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of raw materials.

Budget and cost control to meet financial targets.

Equipment and Maintenance:

Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of plant equipment and machinery.

Schedule and oversee maintenance activities, minimizing downtime.

Coordinate with the maintenance team for equipment repairs and upgrades.

Team Leadership:

Build and lead a high-performing team by setting expectations, providing direction, and mentoring team members.
