roles and responsibilities

tool design & manufacturing, die trails & components proving, quotations (rfq), tool room & development of new products.

planning, coordinating tool room activity like scheduling design jobs to mould/ tool designers & ensuring timely completion as per pre-set parameters.

leading project team in project feasibility study, estimate process cycle time, prepare quote &tool development from outsourced as well as in-house.

planning of manpower and capacity analysis of tool room.

plan workload for machines in tool room

follow up and co-ordination with mould makers for design and mould clearance.

implementation of lean, kaizen and 5s..

standardization of mould base and moulds parts.

proactively identify areas of obstruction/breakdowns and take steps to rectify the failures.

conducting cycle time study and setup time study.

ensuring the moulding production as per rated capacity, control and troubleshooting of plastic components & material.

costing - material cost, mhr, pricing of new product & estimation & planning of plastic injection moulds

ensuring different tool cost saving plans & implementation to ensure low cost & high quality concept

tooling performance evaluation in respect of tool process, tool life, tool quality and suit the production requirements. implementation of low-cost automation.

responsible for keeping track of all in-house development activities as per the development schedules.
