Looking For Testing & Commissioning Engineer (MEP)

Seeking a skilled Testing & Commissioning Engineer to plan, execute, and supervise the testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems. The role involves verifying system performance, identifying defects, coordinating inspections and approvals, maintaining commissioning documentation, and ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, fire alarm, ELV, HVAC, and BMS systems operate safely and efficiently in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare testing and commissioning plans, procedures, schedules, and checklists for MEP systems.

Coordinate commissioning activities with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.

Conduct pre-commissioning inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with approved drawings.

Perform testing and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, fire alarm, ELV, and BMS systems.

Verify equipment installation, functionality, and performance against project specifications.

Conduct functional performance tests and integrated systems testing.

Identify defects, prepare punch lists, and coordinate timely rectification.

Ensure compliance with applicable standards, local authority regulations, project specifications, and safety requirements.

Prepare commissioning reports, inspection records, test certificates, and related technical documentation.

Coordinate third-party inspections and obtain necessary authority approvals.

Prepare operation and maintenance manuals, as-built documentation, and commissioning dossiers for project handover.

Support facility management teams during the Defects Liability Period (DLP).

Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) policies.

Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration of instruments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

3-8 years of experience in MEP testing and commissioning.

Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, and pumps.

Understanding of LV electrical systems, DG sets, transformers, UPS systems, and electrical testing procedures.

Experience with firefighting systems, fire pumps, sprinklers, hydrants, and fire alarm systems.

Knowledge of plumbing, water supply, drainage, smoke management, ELV, and BMS systems.

Ability to perform functional testing, identify technical issues, and troubleshoot system faults.

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Strong documentation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of QA/QC procedures, safety compliance, and authority inspection requirements.

Testing and Commissioning or HVAC certifications are advantageous.

Knowledge of NFPA standards and IOSH, NEBOSH, OSHA, or electrical safety certifications is preferred.

GCC/UAE project experience is an added advantage.
